My brother and I had a property we had been renting out for years, a duplex we inherited. Over time and use the building had started to fall into disrepair, and neither of us were too interested in going through the headache of remodeling the units. We have done it in the past, it is not easy.

Cashing in on an ‘as-is’ sale sounded enticing. My brother and I knew what our ‘bottom line’ number was, but did not share that with Ohio Cash Buyers. Much to our surprise, their offer actually slightly beat that number and the other terms were good too (as-is, no closing costs or broker fees, fast close, etc).

Everything was done smoothly and the way it was supposed. Not a single hitch. Bryan and his team over at Ohio Cash Buyers were flexible as I had to move the closing date 3 times due to some personal issues revolving around a medical issue. I helped my in-laws move from a 2 story home to a retirement community near Columbus. They (my in-laws) are both in their early 90’s. Moving was hard enough on them, and of course the house was heavily outdated as they have lived there decades and changed almost nothing the entire time. Not to mention, the amount stuff accumulated over 50 years was enormous and overwhelming.

They did not have the desire, patience or capacity to remodel the house, nor did they want to deal with the showings of prospective buyers. Simple and clean was the best option.

They got a slightly below market value but acceptable offer from Ohio Cash Buyers. However, what else they got in return was the ability to sell as-is, help with the relocation, the option to leave unwanted items in the house (there was a lot of this), and significant help & guidance with the closing process.

Overall, they are pleased they went with Ohio Cash Buyers and said they would do it all over again if faced with the same choice.
